It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Fall!
I went to the Amish Greenhouse today and bought myself some pumpkins and mums. I already had the corn shalks thanks to the farmer behind us that accidentally planted corn in our yard and he was unable to harvest it, so, since I was taking care of it, I used it.
I used some burlap scraps to cover the mum pot. The mums are not blooming too much yet and that is okay as I think they will last me longer. They will bloom by next week I am sure and just in time for October!
I decided not to paint my shutter bench and leave it rustic the way it is. This picture says to me... summer is still hanging on with the geraniums still in bloom and the mums getting ready to replace them. Soon, the cooler days will be here.
I love the variety of color in the setting. The yellow corn, the pink mums, the orange, white and multi colored pumpkins....even the red of the tool box the geraniums are planted in.
I got the old bushel basket at an auction. Very cheap I must say. I got a few of them and use them quite a bit for garden decor.
I purchased a small hay bale just for added decor.
I found this metal pumpkin frame at a thrift shop this morning for $3. I snatched it up!
The view from the side at the garage doors. I love fall!
I bought this rusted ghost at the mud sale this past year. Thought he would look good sticking out of the corn...
I hope you enjoyed my autumn outdoor decor.... later this week, I will be working on the inside.
