I wanted to make some paper dress forms and embellish them, so I took my pattern pieces from the diy dish ( click on the link and you can get the patterns there) website and cut a few out with some paper I wanted to use up.
All I did was cut out the patterns, hot glued some lace and doily scraps along with other embellishments. This particular one, I glued a thin wooden dowel I had to the back of it and then glued it into the glass candlestick holder.
This was my first one I attempted. I was very happy with the results.
I purchased an old grater at the thrift store this morning and used it as a stand for my paper dress forms.
I glued another one on the reverse side of it as well.
Just to note, on the top of this one and another one, I took small wooden clothespins and glued to the back leaving the top of the clothespin to stick up as an added embellishment.
This was a just for fun project to decorate my craft room. Speaking of the craft room, I talked to Mr H and I WILL be painting the craft/laundry room this spring/summer!!! I can't wait!!!
This weekend we are having other home maintenance upgrades as well. In our bedroom, we are having Pergo wood flooring put in. Ollies Bargain Outlet is having a huge sale on Pergo, so we bought 9 cases and our handyman neighbor will be installing it for us! When that is finished, I will be putting up a wallpaper ceiling border. When the room is complete, I will have a debut of the master bedroom. I am not doing before pictures as all there is to show is a bare wood floor and I mean bare....Mr H ripped the carpet out some time ago and we were going to re carpet, but decided to go with wood flooring. We may be doing this throughout the entire first floor of the house in the coming year.
