I went back through my posts and saw that I didn't post some of my Easter decor yet!
I love the bright colors that spring brings.
Last week , while at the Art of Recycle shop, I picked up two sofa springs. Thinking what to do with them, I stacked my colored styrofoam eggs in them and clothespinned a vintage Easter picture to the top of it.
I love thinking outside the box when it comes to things like this. Now to come up with something fun after Easter to use them for! Maybe candle holders....who knows....
I put my egg tree inside my homemade chicken wire cloche.
So far that is part of the kitchen decor.
Today, Anna Mae and I went on a little excursion. We stopped at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Use-It store. We found a couple of items we could use. Mainly I bought 2 medium sized white shutters. I want them for decorating purposes. They will need cleaned up and painted a bit.
Then we discovered that the Primitives by Kathy warehouse/wholesale store was literally next door, so with tax ID in hand, we stopped in and did some wholesale shopping! It was unexpected and FUN! We found so many great items at a discounted price to use for embellishments for our crafts. We must have been there for almost 2 hours! Fun Fun Fun!
A busy weekend is ahead - I have to work tomorrow for 4 hours and also Saturday for 8 hours. It is inventory day on Saturday at the garden center and everything must be hand counted....
on a plus side, my brother is visiting from Massachusetts and we are having a family dinner tomorrow night. Saturday night is hockey game night and Sunday is well....if you are an American, you all know it is Super Bowl Sunday. Mr H and I will spend the earlier part of the day at a hockey game and the rest of the day at home watching the Super Bowl and of course those over rated/over paid commercials!
So there won't be much posting of the blog this weekend. I will be lucky to have a moments peace...
Have a great weekend!
